Sub Committees LTC Workshops
PRINT has attended and facilitated the dialogue between stakeholders of the sector through a variety of activities, e.g. workshop to enhance the policy dialogue held in November 2008 in Botswana, LIMS regional workshop to assess the degree of implementation of LIMS in MS, and participation to several sub committee meetings (with issues like Epidemiology , Animal production, Marketing and trade, Food safety) and to the LTC meetings.

In December 2006, PRINT initiated a regional consultation on FMD management as a form of training offered to all Member States. It was organized in Botswana, a country which was then facing several outbreaks and therefore was considered to offer the most appropriate context for a full learning exercise, from field work to laboratory work.

The situation of CBPP in the SADC region is relatively well known. Its control is still an issue for the northern countries of the SADC region.

Workshop on Regional Agricultural policy, Livestock sector
With the support of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO, Harare Sub-Regional Office), and financial support of the French Foreign Ministry, the processes in formulating the SADC Regional agricultural policy framework (RAPF) began in earnest in March 2008. The development of the Regional Agricultural Policy Framework will be conducted through a participatory consultative process involving relevant stakeholders in all Member States.
