An analytical and hierarchical approach to characterize actions which have been conducted
How to have clear vision among so many actions being conducted?
A great deal of actions have been conducted within numerous initiatives to promote agricultural actions in developping countries; the objectives associated to these actions were more or less clear. A framewirk is needed to help inform about these actions.
Analytical framework through social sciences
Partners involved in the AFOMDnet Project have agreed with characterizing through the perspective of social sciences in dealing with the area of foodcrop supply, marketing and diversification. The retained analytical approach has led to a system of characterizing or SCarAC (System of Characterizing the Actions Conducted, in French). Such a sytem applied to the area considered in the Project, or OMD (for Supply, Marketing and Diversification in French) gives rise to SCarAC-OMD which can also be applied to other areas of agricultural productions. Yet, other analytical approaches are probably possible, by selecting other perspective and mobilizing another set of scientific disciplines.
