Several events took place recently

An explicit objective for a fourth training workshop in scientific writing

The workshop took place in the University of Ouagadougou, from April 2 to 6, 2012, and monitored by Mr Bernard Pochet, from University of Liège, Belgium. It was destined to :

  • inform about the procedures and vehicles of scientific communication;
  • train on using tools for information search;
  • provide skills in building  queries of documentary search;
  • acquire a critical attitude and synthesis skills with regard to documents obtained.

Specific training to using capitalizing tools in Mozambique

From March 18 to 21, 2012, Project coordinator stayed in Mozambique to train the technical staff of the Cotton Institute of Mozambique in using SLIRE and CANtool capitalzing tools. This stay was scheduled after the Director of the institute expressed his interest in using the proposed tools to keep memory of all documents and operations of his organisation. 

A workshop in Abidjan, to better inform organizations concerned

INP-HB, university in Yamoussoukro, organized on March 6, 2012 the stakeholders' workshop in Abidjan, so as to enhance the participation of organizations potentially interested by the capitalizing tools the project has carried out. The project coordinator, coming from France to take part to the workshop, expressed his emotion to be in the spot of the University which was damaged by the post-electoral turmoils in 2010 in the country.

Versions at the edge of Internet technology

The new versions of the capitalizing tools  SLIRE and CANtool are released since early February  2012. Their ergonomy has been dramatically alterated to take advantage of the last achievements in the area of web pages and to take into account suggestions made notably in the framework of stakeholders' workshops. Both tools are now specified by two orignal logos.

Inform to enlarge the network

The stakeholders' workshop took place on October 3rd, 2011 in Ouagadougou. Organized by INERA, project partner in Burkina Faso, the workshop gave the opportunity to introduce the AFOMDnet project in terms of objectives, of implementation modalities and of the capitalizing tools that have resulted (SLIRE et CANtool).
