Workshop objectives

Three objectives are identified, in compliance with the Project action plan:

  1. officially kick-off of the Project
  2. Engage the co-construction of the project methodology which is scheduled in a three-stage process
  3. Proceed the interaction between participants in view of the training sessions for the writing of scientific articles.

The kick-off targets at project appropriation by all partners, to be achieved from clarification of the Project objectives and tasks, as well as explanation of the implementation modalities, in particular with regard to administrative and financial rules.

The co-construction of the methodology aims at carrying out an analytical approach to document and characterize experiences to promote foodcrop production and diversification. Documentation of experiences should permit to know where, when, what, who and how they were conducted. Characterization will clarify the objectives and the constraints addressed, as well as to assess the outcomes reached. The application of the methodology will be facilitated by the use of Internet tools to feed databases and whose development has started before the workshop started.

The workshop is destined to facilitate the interaction between participants in the area of their research topics and prospects of paper writing; this interaction will contribute to mutual understanding and help guide the preparation of the training workshops in scientific writing.
