First Steering Committee

A first Steering Committee to benefit from external assessment

The Committee took place in the conference room of the Hotel du Lac from 27to 28 september 2011, with the participation of external members coming from the Agence Française de Développement in Paris; of the Secretariat of the Club of  Sahel and of West Africa, OECD; of the West and Central Council for Agricultural research and development (CORAF/WECARD).

A good appreciation of the achievements and recommendation to move further

The originality and the interest of the capitalizing tools were well appraised, it was recommended to go in touch with centres of decision making so as to make the tools further used. In order to reach the desirable impact of the first conference of African research on foodcrop and diversification productions, it was suggested to look for political and institutional appropriation, especially in West and Central Africa. The external members of the Steering Committee have indicated that they will provide their support in this purpose.
