This network is called AFOMDnet according to its French title (Réseau d'A nalyse des F acteurs d'O ffres vivrières, de mise en m arché et de d iversification) or Analysis network for factors in foodcrop supply, marketing and diversification.
The operation of the network being set up targets at:
- capitalizing numerous experiences of enhancement of the concerned productions, through an analytical approach and specific Internet tools;
- promoting the acknowledgement of ACP scientists through publication of their analyses and results in international scientific journals;
- increasing the role of research institutions in reflections and conception of policies destined to promote the considered productions;
- providing assistance to other networks of researchers in adopting the analytical approach and tools carried out

Tissage baoulé, Côte d'Ivoire
Pagne baoulé des villages de tisserands
Le tissage traditionnel, essentiellement à base de fil de coton, demeure encore dans quelques pays de l'Afrique de l'Ouest mais on ignore souvent qu'il constitue l'activité principale dans nombre de villages à proximité de Yamoussoukro. Nous avons pu nous en rendre compte lors d'une visite du village de Bomizambo.

Atelier "rédaction et communication"
Formation à la rédaction et à la communication : confirmée
La formation aura lieu à Bamako (Mali) dans la semaine du 14 au 18 juin 2010. Elle sera délivrée en français, mais on parlera aussi anglais. Le coordonnateur du Projet AFOMDnet a engagé les démarches pour que la formation puisse bénéficier à un grand nombre de collègues.

Une organisation, déjà signe d'appropriation
L'exécution du projet AFOMDnet est devenue manifestement une affaire de l'ensemble de l'Institut National Polytechnique Houphouet Boigny (INP-HB), voire d'autres institutions en Côte d'Ivoire.
