The objective of WP1 is to develop an analytical framework and an associated operational approach for participatory assessment of agricultural/rural innovation systems in small-scale farming, including the respective role of scientific and local/traditional knowledge.

The objective of WP2 is to identify the potentials and limitations of multi-stakeholder agricultural innovation processes in small-scale farming with specific emphasis on the role and use of different forms of scientific and local/traditional knowledge

WP3 leader : ICRA

The objective of WP3 is to strengthen stakeholders’ capacities to capture, reflect on and share major lessons learned from their own experiences with agricultural/rural innovation systems and to facilitate multistakeholder innovation processes at local, sub-national and national level

WP leader:  ETC, with KARI, UP and UAC-FSA

The objective of WP4 is to link and strengthen existing networks and to share project findings by connecting and stimulating communication between major research players and other key actors, so that concepts and practice of innovation systems, multistakeholder innovation platform-building and local/traditional knowledge are taken on board and become subjects for joint learning

WP leaders: ETC (Ann Waters-Bayer) and CIRAD (Bernard Triomphe)

The objective of WP5 is to to synthesise and share lessons learnt across project activities and WPs, and identify a meaningful agenda for future research, practice and policy related to agricultural/rural innovation systems incorporating L/TK.

The objective of WP6 is to ensure that the consortium operates smoothly and effectively, that eventual problems are detected and dealt with on time and adequately, and that project objectives and deliverables are being met within the time schedule and available budget
